Born in Israel, Yair Polishook studied music at the Mor high-school. As part of his studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance he is taking singing lessons with Marina Levit and conducting lessons with Avner Biron.


He won America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships (2008-10) and the Ronen Foundation scholarship (2007). Yair Polishook has sung in concerts and performed operatic roles, appearing with the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon Le-Zion, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, the Ra'anana Symphonette Orchestra, Caprisma Ensemble, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance orchestra and choir, Adi Choir and the Moran Singers.


He is a member of the Israeli Bach Soloists Ensemble. This is his first appearance with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
