A graduate of the Beit Zvi Acting School, Itay Tiran was awarded the Tsvi Clear Prize for Excellence in Studies, as well as America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships.

 

He has appeared in numerous leading dramatic roles, among them the title role in Hamlet, Eilif in Mother Courage, Christian in Festen, Franz JäÌgerstäÌtter in Eye Witness and Nicolah in Caviar and Lentils at the Cameri Theater as well as King Richard in Richard II and Berger in Hair at the Library Theater.

 

Itay Tiran has participated in various television series and played leading roles in award winning films, including Lebanon, Beaufort and Forgiveness. His awards include the Edna Flidel Prize, Most Promising Actor in Israeli Theater for 2003, Best Actor of the Year for 2005 and Best Actor of the Year in Comedy for 2006.

 

He has already appeared with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra
