Auditions for the following positions:

- Only qualified candidates will be invited to audition.
- The auditions will take place in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Principal 2nd Violin
From 2014/2015 season – Starting October 2014
Audition dates:
1st stage: July 9th, 1PM
2nd stage: July 10th, 1PM
Registration: Applications accepted only between June 1st – 15th, 2013.
Audition repertoire:
1. Bach: one movement from Sonatas and Partitas.
2. Mozart: Concerto no. 3 or 4 or 5, 1st movement with Cadenza.
3. Romantic Concerto - One concerto of your choice from the following list:
- Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius – 1st movement with Cadenza.
- Glazunov, Bruch No. 1 in g minor, Mendelssohn in e minor op. 64, Saint-Saens no. 3 in b minor - all movements.
4. Playing with the Israel Philharmonic Quartet:
2nd Violin part of Beethoven: String quartet op. 18, no. 1 in F major, 1st movement.

Trumpet (Utility)
From 2013/2014 season – Immediate, or the winning candidate’s earliest availability
Audition dates:
1st stage: July 17th, 1PM
2nd stage: July 18th, 1PM
Registration: Applications accepted only between June 1st – 15th, 2013.
Audition repertoire:
1) Haydn or Hummel trumpet concerto (1st mov.)

Bass (Tutti)
From 2013/2014 season – Immediate, or the winning candidate’s earliest availability
Audition date: December 2013 (Dates T.B.A.)
Registration: Applications accepted only between November 1st – 15th, 2013.
Audition repertoire:
1. 1st stage: A slow movement and a fast movement from a Classical concerto.
2nd stage: In additional to the Classical con., 1st movement from a Romantic concerto.

All the audition pieces should be played at the orchestra’s tuning pitch - 442.
