The 77th season promises to be an exceptionally exciting season. It’s the season which will mark the IPO’s return to Heichat HaTarbut, the orchestra’s beloved home.
We are making an all-out effort to bring the date of our return forward and, as you will see from the concert timetable, our target date is March 2013 – exactly halfway through the season.
Until March 2013, we shall continue to hold our concerts in the Smolarz Auditorium at Tel Aviv University.
The transportation arrangements in place will remain the same as in the previous season.
Please note – no further concerts will be held at Hangar 11.
Seating arrangements
Your seats in the Smolarz Auditorium will continue to be reserved for you and will serve you during the first half of the season. Your seats will be reserved until 15.8.2012 and, pending on your subscription renewal, through the first half of the season. When we receive the seating chart of the renovated Heichal HaTarbut, we shall contact you and we allocate you new seats (identical or as close as possible to your old seats) in the hall.
The renovated Heichal HaTarbut
When you return to the renovated hall, you will observe that the visual and acoustic conditions will have improved significantly: the new platform will be terraced and hydraulic (like the stage of the Walt Disney concert hall in Los Angeles and leading halls around the world) – a feature which will enable the audience in the hall to see each group of players. The seats have also been changed and the aisles have been widened (necessitating a slight reduction in the number of seats in the hall). The cafeterias have been renovated and expanded, the balconies will be opened to the audience and the number of restrooms have been doubled, and the ladies’ restrooms tripled).
Please note the changes in the ticket exchange regulations:
We understand that subscribers are obliged at times to change the date of their tickets. In these cases, prior notification, up to one hour before the beginning of a concert, will enable us to offer your seat to someone else. Prior notification of your absence will also give you the possibility of reserving a seat for an alternative concert two weeks ahead of the concert. Requests for exchange of unused tickets, without prior notification, will be dealt with only on the day of the selected new concert.
The complete regulation can be found in next season’s brochure and on the back of your subscription ticket.
