A NAME TO REMEMBER!

Mayuko Kamio

Mayuko Kamio – the young Japanese violinist, who has taken the music world by storm, can now be heard under the baton of conductor Yaron Traub.

Since she performed for the first time in Tokyo at the age of 10, Japanese violinist, Mayuko Kamio, has gone on to win numerous prizes and perform with the world’s leading orchestras. And she is only 23.  Kamio has amazed the music world with her prodigious talent. Japanese critic MAINICHI SHIMBUN wrote of her: “Mayuko Kamio’s musical and technical level is already outstanding. One can only be amazed at how so young an artist is able to create music so full of expression and magic. I am stunned by the music that emerges from her bow.”

Mayuko Kamio previously performed under the baton of Zubin Mehta and she is now due to perform under the baton of young Israeli conductor, Yaron Traub, who has conducted some of the world’s major orchestras and served as assistant to Daniel Barenboim at the 1993 Bayreuth Festival. Mayuko Kamio will perform four concerts in various IPO series (the Philharmonic in Jeans, Intermezzo, Light Classical and the Chamber Music concert at the Tel Aviv Museum).
