Dmitry Korchak, tenor
Born in Russia, Dmitry Korchak graduated from the Russian Academy of Choral Arts both as opera singer and conductor. In 2004 he was a prize winner in the Francisco Viñas International Competition in Barcelona and won two prizes in Placido Domingo's Operalia Competition in Los Angeles. Since then he has toured extensively, appearing as soloist at prestigious venues throughout Europe, the USA and Japan. He has performed at major opera houses, among them the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, La Scala in Milan, the Rome Opera, the Zurich Opera and the Paris Opera. His festival appearances include the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Mozart Festival in La Coruna, Colmar, Vladimir Spivakov Invites Festival and the Moscow International Music Festival. He has collaborated with such conductors as Riccardo Chailly, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Krzystof Penderecki, Placido Domingo and others.
