Oleg Tsybulko, bass
Since his graduation from the prestigious Young Artists Program at the Bolshoi Theatre, a series of significant debuts has established Moldovan bass Oleg Tsibulko as a major young talent. In 2013 he took Second Prize at the Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition, subsequently making his European debut at Angers Nantes Opéra. Since then he has appeared with the Canadian Opera Company, Opéra de Nice, the Bolshoi Theatre and at international festivals, including the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Buxton International Festival and Dortmund Music Festival. On the concert platform, he has recently appeared at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Golden Cockerel with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic conducted by Vasily Petrenko and in Verdi’s Requiem with the Noord Nederlands Orkest conducted by Eivind Gullberg Jensen. Originally trained as a pianist, Oleg Tsibulko completed his Master’s degree at Chişinău Academy of Music in Moldova before finishing his vocal training at the Bolshoi Theatre. This is her first appearance with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
