Helicon Classics

In 2006 the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Helicon Music established the Helicon Classics label with the aim of preserving and perpetuating the orchestra’s “in concert” work in the past, present and future.

Since then, the label has issued dozens of albums of the Orchestra’s recordings, the majority under the baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta, as well as a “Heritage” series of rare recordings from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The list of musicians and conductors featured on Helicon Classics includes: Zubin Mehta, Antal Dorati, István Kertész, Rafael Kubelik, Pierre Monteux, Paul Paray, Mstislav Rostropovich, Herbert Blomstedt, Yefim Bronfman, Rudolf Buchbinder, Vladimir Jurowski, James Levine, Pinchas Zukerman and many other eminent artists.
