Yevgenia Pikovsky

Yevgenia Pikovsky, winner of the 1993 Vittorio Gui and Vercelli Competitions, has appeared as soloist and chamber musician in concert halls in the U.S., Israel, Russia, Poland, Italy and France. In 1993, she made her debut with the Israel Philharmonic under Maestro Zubin Metha.
In 1997, after studies in the U.S. and in Israel, she founded the Millennium Chamber Ensemble in Jerusalem, with whom she has appeared in numerous live radio broadcasts and recorded two CDs.
A member of Quatro Plus, she has performed with this ensemble in the Jerusalem International Chamber Festival and the Israel Festival, as well as in the USA and Europe.
In June 2006, she won the audition for Concertmaster of the Bern Symphony in Switzerland, a position she held during the 2006-2008 seasons.
As soloist, she has appeared with the Israel Philharmonic in Israel and on tour under Maestro Zubin Mehta.
She is on the faculty of Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance student orchestra coach for strings.
In the 2014-15 season she became Principal of the Israel Philharmonic Second Violin section.
