Mission and goals
The Israel Philharmonic is committed to engaging and inspiring a large ,diverse audience in Israel through exceptional orchestral performances of the highest artistic level. The Orchestra also tours the globe representing Israel as its foremost cultural emissary, conveying a message of harmony and peace.
Additionally, the Orchestra aims to nurture a lifelong love and appreciation of music through its Key-Note Program for Music Education and Community Outreach. The program annually exposes over 20.000 children to classical music. KeyNote also promotes social impact projects to bring the IPO to the community.
Moreover, the Israel Philharmonic advocates for equal opportunities through “Sulamot – Music for Social Change”, offering 1.200 children at risk the unique chance to learn an instrument and experience the healing powers of music making in an orchestral ensemble.
