Ilya Gaisin have conducted such orchestras as Montpellier National Symphony Orchestra, State Academic Symphony Orchestra (“Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra”), MusicAeterna Orchestra and Choir, National Opera Theatre Brno Orchestra and Choir, State Academic Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Budapest Operetta Theatre Orchestra and Choir and many others.

Since 2017 Ilya was an assistant conductor of Teodor Currentzis at MusicAeterna orchestra, conducting several productions & concerts. He has assisted him in Utopia Orchestra, SWR Symphonieorkester, Salzburg Festival and Berliner Philharmoniker as well.

Mr.Gaisin studied with Professor Valery Polyansky in Moscow Conservatory and finished it in 2008 with “Gennady Rozhdestvensky Award”. In 2006 he finished it as a violinist (with Professor Sergey Kravchenko). Then Ilya worked as an assistant of Gennady Rozhdestvensky at Russian State Symphonic Capella. From 2006 to 2009 he was a Principal guest cunductor in Kislovodsk.

Since 2012 until 2017 Ilya Gaisin was a chief-conductor of Moscow Chamber Orchestra of Pavel Slobodkin Center, giving over 80 performances a season. During that period he has implemented such project as “All Beethoven symphonies, overtures and concertos”, “Golden age of violin concertos” (performed 18 concerts in one season as a violinist), educational projects for youth as a conductor and lecturer, huge amount of contemporary works as well as baroque, classical and romantic repertoire.

In 2017-2019, he worked as a conductor in Perm Opera Theatre.

As a violinist Ilya Gaisin have won several prizes at the international violin competitions in Russia, Ukraine, Finland & Italy. As a conductor Mr.Gaisin have won the II Kalman International Conducting Competition (Budapest, 2012) and became one of three laureates of the International Opera Conducting Competition in Ruse (Bulgaria, 2014). He participated in conducting master-classes by Gennady Rozhdestvensky and others.

This is his first appearance with the IPO.
