Rom Shani

Rom Shani, Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Rom Shani began his musical training at the age of seven. He studied under renowned Israeli musicians, including Gan Lev, Amit Golan, Daniel Zamir, and Yuval Cohen, establishing a strong foundation in both classical and jazz traditions.

Rom’s instrumental versatility extends beyond the saxophone to trumpet, flute, bass guitar, and more. He has served as a saxophone instructor at institutions such as the Tel Aviv School of Arts, the Israel Conservatory of Music (Tel Aviv), Mikey Music Conservatory, and the Hod Hasharon Music School.

A dynamic musician, Rom has recorded and performed with a wide range of orchestras, ensembles, bands, and artists across various genres, including collaborations with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Big Band, Dennis Lloyd, Esther Rada, Rivka Zohar, Hasof – The Musical, Hoodna Orchestra, and many others.

Besides performing on the world’s biggest stages, such as the Coachella Festival (USA) and Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), his work has been featured in several television broadcasts, including “The Voice” and “The Rising Star” (Israel), “Che Tempo Che Fa” (Italy), and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (USA).
