At what age did you begin playing a musical instrument?
I started studying the violin at age 7, and right away I knew I will be a professional musician.
Name an unforgettable moment with the IPO
The most unforgettable concert for me was the last concert with Zubin Mehta in Tel Aviv, when we performed Mahler’s 2nd symphony. I could barely stop my tears, my entire 25 years in the orchestra passed right in front my eyes.
What do you love to do off stage?
In addition to working at the orchestra and chamber music, which I love, I also love dancing and traveling.
Which kind of music would we find on your playlist?
In addition to classical music, I really love listening to jazz and pop.
What is the special significance of the IPO to you/Why did you want to be part of the IPO?
Even when I was living in Tashkent I heard a lot about the IPO. For me it was something incredible. I couldn’t even imagine that one day I will become a member of this orchestra.
Did you acquire any new skills during the pandemic?
During the pandemic I became a hairdresser. It used to be my dream for many years and now I got this opportunity.
How can we keep classical music and live performances relevant in the digital era?
I can only hope that the outstanding past will continue to exist in the future as well.
