At what age did you begin playing a musical instrument?
I started playing when I was 7 years old. But already beforehand, from what I remember, I always loved music.

At age 12-13 I realized I couldn’t live without music.

Name an unforgettable moment with the IPO
An unforgettable moment – my first impression of the IPO during a rehearsal with Zubin Mehta of the 3rd symphony by Brahms. It felt as if I was in an ocean of wonderful sounds and I’m a part of it.

What do you love to do off-stage?
I spend a lot of time with my boys and my wife. We all play together and talk about the philosophy of music and about life. We play a lot of incredible chamber music with my boys. I also meet up with musician friends and painters, and we love sharing amusing videos on WhatsApp in our spare time.
