Alexander Nemirovsky

Alexander Nemirovsky was born in Moldova in 1973.
He studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with Jeffrey Kowalsky and Pamela Jones. He subsequently studied Jazz and Latin music with Robby Amen and Richie Flories in New York. In 2009-2013 he studied with Dan Moshayev, Mark Moshayev and Alon Bor and in the summer of 2012 studied in Berlin with Wieland Welzel, Torsten Schonfeld and Rainer Seegers.
He performs as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician and recording artist, working with all the Israeli orchestras.
In 2011 he joined the Israel Philharmonic as Assistant Principal Timpanist and percussionist. In 2015 he was appointed Acting Principal Percussionist. Since 2017 he has been a Zildjian Concert Orchestral Artist.
