Drorit Valk

Drorit Valk, who joined the Israel Philharmonic in 1992, is a graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. She served in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician, performing with the IDF String Quartet and the Education Corps Orchestra.
She has given recitals and mage solo appearances with orchestras in Israel and abroad, among them the Israel Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony, Haifa Symphony and the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva.
Drorit Valk has participated in festivals (Abu Gosh, Kfar Blum and others), radio programs and studio recordings and won prizes in various competitions, including first prizes in the Music Academy competitions, the Clairmont Award and chamber music competitions.
She represented Israel in chamber concerts in the former Soviet Union (1991) and USA (1992).
Drorit Valk plays with various chamber ensembles and leads the Dafna String Quartet.
