Name an unforgettable moment with the IPO
Practicing the bass part of Mahler’s 2nd symphony with my colleague Peter Marck backstage at the Gasteig Hall in Munich. We watched the late afternoon snowfall through large glass windows. It was one of my first tours with the orchestra in the early 90’s and I remember thinking that the musician life suited me well.

What do you love to do off stage?
Hang out with my wife and 4 daughters.

Extremely eclectic: jazz, classical from early music to 20th century atonal. African music. American traditional music.
