Peter and the Wolf
Lahav Shani, Dror Keren, and the orchestra take us on a magical musical journey through Prokofiev’s masterpiece Peter and the Wolf.
This special concert, marking 25 years of the “Key Note” music education program, invites children to discover how each musical instrument becomes a character in the story — the flute flutters like a bird, the clarinet sneaks like a cat, and the drums thunder like the hunters’ rifles!
The concert opens with Leroy Anderson’s playful Sleigh Ride, continues with the enchanting dances of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, and showcases the talent of promising young soloists: violinist Martha Yehudin and oboist Aryeh Malkin will perform Bach’s Double Concerto; cellist Eitan Mikhanovsky will play the second movement of J.S. Bach’s Cello Concerto. The grand finale features Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf, narrated by actor Dror Keren.
