In a show prepared especially for the Israel Philharmonic Summer Festival, Rona Keinan embarks on a journey that follows the most sung about topic in music – love. In this unique performance, Rona meticulously chose the most meaningful love songs for her, composed by her and others, giving them a new, intimate and special interpretation.
Accompanied by piano and a string quartet from the orchestra, Rona will try to follow the various types of love in songs: requited and unrequited, old and new, forbidden and permitted, earthly and spiritual. Alongside her own love songs, she will perform beloved songs that she translated, in English, Hebrew and Spanish – from Naomi Shemer, through Lorca to Suzanne Vega.
