Uri Arbel studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
In 2007 he won First Prize at the Academy’s Concerto Competition and appeared as soloist with the Academy’s Chamber Orchestra. He also won First Prize at the duo competition with cellist Maya Belsitzman.
He was principal double bass player of the Young Israel Philharmonic, the Jerusalem Academy Orchestra and the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra and a member of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra.
