With her crystal clear graceful soprano voice, Hila Baggio is one of the most successful, critically acclaimed, and sought-after Israeli Sopranos. She sang under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Daniele Callegari, Dan Ettinger, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Omer Meir Wellber, Lahav Shani, and others.
She performed leading roles at Semperoper Dresden, Teatro dell’opera Roma, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Volksoper Vienna, Opera National de Lorrain, Israeli Opera, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Opera houses in Nantes and Rennes, and more. Among her roles: Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Gilda (Rigoletto), Micaela (Carmen), Norina (Don Pasquale), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Marie (La Fille du Régiment), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), The Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen) and more.
She sang in concerts with the Munich Philharmonic, Wiener Symphoniker, Valencia Opera House Orchestra, Dresden Festspiele, Berlin Chamber Music Festival, Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra in Parma, Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra, and more. She recorded a CD of ‘Yiddish Cabaret’ with the Jerusalem Quartet, which was released by Harmonia Mundi.
She was a member of The Israeli Opera Studio. Her extensive career has gained her many prizes including 2nd prize in the operetta category at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition in Vienna, Israeli Minister of Culture Award, Rosenblum Prize for the performing arts, Silverman Prize, Grabov Award, Basser Award, America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Israel Vocal Arts Institute Foundation.
