Born in Tel Aviv, Yuval began playing the trumpet at age 12. After serving in the IDF Army Band he proceeded to study at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and subsequently received his M.Mus degree at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Throughout his studies, Yuval was a recipient of various scholarships and won awards. Upon his return to Israel in 2008, he served as Principal Trumpet in the Israel Kibbutz Orchestra and the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, and joined the Israel Brass Quintet.

Yuval Sahpiro appeared as soloist as well as performing with most of the orchestras in Israel, including Chamber, Jazz, Contemporary and Baroque ensembles, broadcasts on radio and television shows. During 2005-2013, he participated in the “West-Eastern Divan” Orchestra, under Maestro Daniel Barenboim.

Since October 2013, Yuval is a member of of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra trumpet section.
